A little known secret is Cisco doesn't really manufacturer equipment, they put it together. They get all the components manufactured for them, assemble them, add the IOS software and put it into an expensive Cisco box.. and presto High prices.
Network craze provides the same GBIC from the same manufacturer for half the price. Don't pay for a sticker.. All of our GBICs are Cisco equivalent GBICs, guaranteed to be compatible- because it's the same thing..(the only thing different is the sticker)
